KRAUTBURGER 

Cabbage Burger

1 head of cabbage
500 g minced meat
200 ml tomato sauce or ketchup
250 g grated cheese (mozzarella, Emmental, Cheddar)
2 spring onions
2 tbsp. parsley
salt, pepper, chilli flakes
 

  Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cut four 2 cm thick slices from the cabbage, brush with a little oil and season with salt and pepper. Place on a baking tray and roast for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, finely chop the white parts of the onions and the parsley. Mix the minced meat with the onions, parsley, crushed garlic, chilli flakes and half of the cheese, season with salt and pepper and knead well. Divide the mixture into four patties. Remove the cabbage from the oven, brush with tomato sauce and sprinkle with a little cheese. Top each patty with a slice of cabbage and sprinkle with cheese. Bake the burgers in the oven for about 15-20 minutes. The cheese should be melted.
